Jess & James Couple Session – Isla Mujeres, Mexico

At the end of August, I was on vacation in Isla Mujeres, Mexico with my boyfriend Keri, and his family. We were swimming with the whale sharks for 10 straight days and shooting all day long too – absolutely exhausting but well worth it.

Isla Mujeres is a small little island where you get to drive around on a golf cart, eat absolutely amazing food, enjoy without lots of crazy tourists and where you can escape the ‘Cancun’ vibe. I would highly recommend it for anyone not wanting to travel too far, but looking for a relaxing getaway.

I knew I wanted to try and squeeze in a session with a cute couple though while I was there and I was so blessed to meet Jess & James who were also staying at our hotel, Playa La Media Luna. The last few days we were on the boat, we would come back to the hotel and see Jess & James hanging out by the pool. One day they took a walk on the beach so I mustered up the courage (yes, I’m kind of shy..) to go ask them if they wanted to have pictures taken of them in the next couple of days. They were totally down for the photos and as it turns out, they were on the last leg of travelling for 18 months!! Just another week or so left and they were on their way back home to Australia. It was pretty much a perfect to end their travels with a photoshoot don’t you think?

I’m so happy I met Jess & James, and it turns out Jess & I have so much in common when it comes to how we travel. I had such a blast with them and I hope we all get to meet up again one day in our travel adventures! Check out the photos below from the day – isn’t Jess just STUNNING?!
