Cyndal Portrait Session- French Lick, Indiana – Destination Photographer

A few months ago, I was fortunate to be a part of a group of girls who traveled to French Lick, Indiana for a photo contract. What a beautiful little town French Lick is. So quaint and the one golf course we were at – The Pete Dye Course – was massive and pretty breathtaking (especially at 6am with all of the fog)! One of the amazing photographers from our group was Cyndal, whom I’ve known for about 7 years. I’ve always wanted to photograph her as she just has this glow about her I’ve always wanted to capture. When the opportunity arose on our last day in French Lick, I jumped on the chance. She had brought along with her a black flowing dress, just in case we were able to shoot which was perfect for what I was envisioning!

I had a few hours on the last day to gather my thoughts on where and how I wanted to photograph her and I think it worked out so perfectly. I walked over to the flower shop, and they had some burgundy carnations that were exactly what I wanted for her flower crown. I wanted a darker feel to the shoot as it was nearing autumn. The colours and location just felt so right. I ran back to my hotel room and whipped up the burgundy flower crown while Cyndal finished getting ready in her room.

We drove over to West Baden Springs Hotel and shot these photographs of her on our last free hour. Isn’t she just STUNNING?! West Baden is sooo beautiful and this was just a little slice of what they have to offer there. There were plenty places to shoot, but the gardens were my top choice. It was one of my favourite personal shoots this year – so free & so much fun!
