Jae & Courtney – Grand Tappattoo Resort – Muskoka Wedding Photographer

Well, I really do not know where to start with Jae & Courtney’s wedding day! It was incredible to say the least, and crazy full of emotion! Courtney & Jae both live in Australia, however they met in Northern Ontario on the lake! Recapturing this setting at their wedding and getting married on the water was important to them – and incredibly beautiful. I was in my element the whole time, and it was a dream day to photograph!

The girls were full of laughter and all dressed in white, and the bride Courtney had her dress custom made in Australia by designers Paula & Jo. It was so beautiful and she looked absolutely stunning! The ceremony, held on the beach, was genuine and charming in front of their roughly 90 guests.

Of course you can’t have a Muskoka wedding without some wedding photos on a dock! We ventured off their after the ceremony and just had to get some photographs of the newlyweds in Muskoka chairs! Their wedding party was SO much fun (you guys were seriously amazing) and there was never a moment when they weren’t laughing or getting along famously! There was so much energy it really and truly was the perfect day to photograph.

Being up north in cottage country, we made our way over to a point that overlooked the lake. Jae & Courtney were able to take a moment to themselves as I captured their love among the wonderful backdrops all of us hold dearly in our hearts. Having grown up in cottage country myself, I know that Muskoka and northern Ontario are really something special and I just feel at home when I am there. It gave me goosebumps to be able to photograph them somewhere so beautiful.

The reception was held in a tent in front of the beach and it was decorated so elegantly and the food was delicious! All of the little details were full of personal touches that really expressed who they are as a couple. Now on to the speeches…the speeches were SO emotional!! I was absolutely crying but, it was heart warming, genuine and so full of love. Everything that I think a wedding should be. Jae & Courtney have so much love and support behind them from all over the world, it was truly something special to be a part of.

As the sun was setting we went back over to the dock, where Courtney walked barefoot and her and Jae embraced  one last time for some photographs for me. It was so perfect.

The night went on, with dancing, singing and so much goodness I couldn’t even fit it into this blog post!

Jae & Courtney, thank you for trusting me to be a part of something so incredibly special. I wish you both all the best and congrats again on a truly spectacular day!
