Let me tell you – a Kurtz Orchard wedding is all sorts of dreaminess! It’s the perfect outdoor spot for a wedding, and I was lucky enough to photograph two weddings there in 2018 – back to back! Today I am sharing Erica & Matt’s Kurtz Orchard wedding on the Market side of this outdoor venue.

The chill vibe of the day started off with everyone getting ready at a hotel in Niagara. A smaller wedding party allowed me to connect more with everyone which made everything flow so nicely. Their kids were also a part of their day and they were just so cute! One of my favourite photos in the morning was capturing their daughter trying on her mommy’s dress. I knew this was one of those photographs they would look back on for many years to come.

The venue – Kurtz Orchards

Arriving at Kurtz Orchards, there is a lovely pond and a bridge that take you to the outdoor ceremony space. Their ceremony was beautiful and I always love it when couples write their own vows! I definitely cried during them as I tried so capture the moments! Guests enjoyed the lawn games, and we snuck away with the wedding party to go take photos out in the orchard. The reception took place outdoors under the tent that was set up oh so beautifully. Flowers everywhere, and live edge wooden tables gave it such a down to earth feel. I think almost every speech made people cry, which really showed how much love there was under that tent on their day. As the sun set, we moved outside for the first dance where their guests had lit sparklers all around them. It was so romantic, and their day was just incredible!

Erica and Matt really infused their love of family into the day, and it showed. I somehow felt connected to everyone in there in some small way having heard all about where people came from, and past stories of love. If I could photograph their day again I absolutely would – throw another party again soon you two? xox
