The Moment Your Story Changes Forever

Secret proposals, beautifully captured across Toronto and Southern Ontario.

If you're feeling a little nervous about this…

That’s completely normal.

Planning a proposal comes with a lot of questions.

How do you keep it a surprise?
Where should it happen?
How do you make sure the moment is captured without it feeling obvious?

That’s where I come in.

Before the day, we plan everything together - the location, timing, and exactly how the moment will unfold - so you can stay present and focused on what matters most.

When the moment arrives, I blend into the environment and document it naturally, capturing the real reaction, the emotion, and everything that follows.

Because this moment only happens once.

Toronto Proposal Photographer

Hi, I'm Caitlin

I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, but proposals are one of the most meaningful moments to capture - because everything is about to change.

Planning a proposal comes with a lot of unknowns, and most people have never done this before. My role is to help you think through the details ahead of time so the moment itself feels effortless.

We plan the location, timing, and how everything will unfold so the surprise stays intact and nothing feels obvious.

When the moment arrives, I blend into the environment and document what happens naturally - the reaction, the emotion, and the quiet moments right after when it all sinks in.

Because moments like this only happen once.

HOW PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKS

A little planning makes the moment feel effortless.

Before the day, we plan everything together so the proposal feels natural, the surprise stays intact, and you can focus on the moment itself.

Kind words

from randolph

"From the initial call she was able to put my mind at ease knowing that I was in good hands… Caitlin is incredibly detail-oriented. We rehearsed where everyone would be standing, how to lead my girlfriend to the final photograph location and how the surprise would play out and be captured. These details made proposal day run smoothly.”

What it feels like to work together

This isn’t just a photoshoot - it’s an experience built around the two of you.

We spend time somewhere meaningful, and afterward you continue on your date day to dinner feeling all cute and like yourselves.

The whole experience is shaped around who you are together - the way you move, what you love, the energy that’s naturally yours.

Let’s create something that feels like you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?

Almost everyone says that at first. I guide you gently throughout the session so you’re never left wondering what to do, but nothing feels stiff or overly posed. The focus is on movement and interaction so the photos feel natural and connected.

When should we book our engagement session?

Most couples book their engagement session 6-12 months before their wedding, especially if they plan to use the photos for save-the-dates or a wedding website.

Can we include our dog/cat in our engagement session?

Yes - and I highly encourage it if they’re part of your life together. We can plan the session so it’s smooth and relaxed, whether that means bringing a friend along to help or choosing a pet-friendly location.

What if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

If the forecast looks extreme, we’ll reschedule. Overcast skies are actually beautiful for photography, but heavy rain or harsh conditions are never forced. I want the experience to feel good - not stressful.

Planning what comes next?

Many couples begin here and continue on with wedding coverage. If you’re still searching for your photographer, you can explore the wedding experience as well.
