Elegant Casa Loma Wedding
Who hasn’t dreamt of gettting married at a castle at least once in their life? Well, Helena and Gavin made it a reality last summer when they said their I-do’s at their Casa Loma wedding in Toronto! Before we get into their wedding day though, if you missed their Cherry Blossom engagement session – you can check it out here!
I remember doing a site visit to Casa Loma with Helena last summer. It’s not often I do this, but when I do, it’s usually because it’s a very big venue with lots of options for photos. I remember being super excited as we toured around, and made notes in my mind for locations. Fast forward to their wedding day. Just wow! The girls got their makeup done at Helena & Gavin’s condo by Amanda Elysia. Having a getting ready space full of bright natural light, is always helpful for us photographers! It also had a rooftop that we were able to access with an awesome view of the CN Tower – which is always a bonus for a Toronto wedding! Gavin got ready a little north of downtown, and my awesome second photographer Gillian captured him and his boys looking all suave and having drinks together!
More about their Casa Loma Wedding
Helena had a first look with not only Gavin her soon-to-be-husband, but also with her closest friends in the wedding party. Wearing a stunning wedding dress from the amazing Felichia Bridal, Helena was gorgeous & the girls reactions were priceless. Gavin had his suit custom made by Garrison Concierge and wow, he looked great! Complete with a stained glass dome, the Conservatory at Casa Loma was the perfect spot for their ceremony. If you haven’t seen it before, make sure to check it out below. Helena’s niece was the flower girl and her brother walked her down the aisle. I thought that was so sweet! I always love it when couples have someone close to them perform the ceremony. Having their friend Ira up there put that extra special touch on the celebration. Elegant and sophisticated florals were put together by The Paisley Rose – just dreamy! Making your way into the reception, you could see how much thought Helena put into everything. Having designed many elements such as the invites, all of the table numbers, the seating display and so many other things – everything was perfect.
Why choose a Casa Loma wedding?
Well, straight from the Helena, here it is: “We wanted to choose an indoor venue so there was no stress with rain. We also wanted a venue that would be as beautiful as an outdoor venue. Casa Loma was the perfect venue! The inside is beautiful and if weather cooperates the terrace is a perfect spot for cocktails with Toronto as a backdrop. The Conservatory stained glass is what drew us in plus, the bridal suite is gorgeous. Everywhere is!”
Gavin & Helena made photographing their day a breeze and it was a true pleasure to be a part of it all. Congrats again to you both! xox
