Elora Mill Wedding – Ashley & Doug

My dreams of photographing a wedding at Elora Mill came true in 2022 when Ashley and Doug had their Elora Mill Wedding in late September. Surrounded by nautral beauty, Elora Mill is nestled in the heart of the Elora Gorge. Ashley and Doug’s wedding day went off without a hitch and it was one of the most perfect wedding days. My idea of a perfect wedding day involves a few elements. Making sure to have enough time to take photos is number one! Rushing through your day makes everything feel like a ‘task’ as opposed to being able to ‘experience it’. Working with your photographer, and possibly planner to craft a realistic timeline is second. Enjoying the small moments in all of the beauty of your day comes down to this. The third is having an amazing team of vendors to help craft your day and bring it all together.

Classic first look at Elora Mill Wedding

It’s becoming more commonplace to have a first look during your wedding day. Ashley and Doug opted for one because there was room in their timeline, & it really did free up time for them later. Walking through the park before the ceremony we took their portraits & the wedding party photos. We even snuck down into the Elora Gorge to take some photos of the couple down there. If you can manage, and if your dress allows, I also recommend getting down into the Elora Gorge for some truly stunning couples portraits. The people at Elora Mill were there to help and their service was top notch!

The decor is rustic but also elegant which is something that we both were drawn too.
